ABOUT US

Owners Cheryl and Beth Staley are sisters who fulfilled their dreams of working with their dogs and owning their own business. Both left the corporate world and opened Happy Dog Barkery in April 2004.

Beth has baked since childhood and it was a natural step to start baking for her dogs when she found her own lab had allergies.

Cheryl and Beth pride themselves on making the finest treats around. All dogs that visit get to try some liver cake and even the finicky dogs beg for more.

Beth is active in lab rescue and you will frequently find a foster dog behind the counter.

Lulu crossed the Rainbow Bridge in February 2010. We will miss her dearly. Here is her story:
Lulu is the last foster who found her permanent home with Beth. Lulu is an 8 year old female found starving to death as a stray. Her time was up in the shelter and Lulu was lucky enough to get into Great Lakes Lab Rescue. While Beth always has every intention of adopting out her fosters, Lulu worked her way into Beth's heart. She is now fattening up on all the great Happy Dog treats. We like to say she hit the jackpot! I think her smile tells it all from then to now.
